Dakshina Kannada closed from 6 pm to 6 am: District Administration

Dakshina Kannada closed: In the wake of a series of murder cases coming to light in Dakshina Kannada district, the district administration is taking a lot of precautionary measures. In view of the fact that such untoward incidents are taking place at night; the Dakshina Kannada district administration has issued an order that all shop in the district should be open only from 6 am to 6 pm. The order will be applicable till Monday, the district administration said in a circular. But it is stated in the order copy that this rule is not applicable to emergency services like hospital, fire brigade, medical shops. The circular of the district administration said that all other shops, except for emergency services, should be closed from 6 am to 6 pm.

A total of three youths have been murdered in the last 10 days in Dakshina Kannada district. Bellare Masjid, Praveen Nettaru and Suratkal Fazil have fallen victim to the mischief of three miscreants. The district administration is taking a lot of precautionary measures to ensure that such atrocities do not recur in the future after it has been noticed that rows of youths are being killed in the district.

Shri Ram Sena chief Pramod Muthalik has been restricted from entering the district as he should not disturb the communal harmony in the district. Pramod Muthalik has been restricted from entering any taluks like Kadaba, Puttur, Belthangadi, Bantwala and Sulya, except Mangaluru Commissionerate.
