Karnataka Lockdown: What CM Basavaraj Bommai said after meeting with officials and experts

Bengaluru: The Corona Second Wave in the state has not been completely reduced, it has been decided not to issue a lockdown. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the current rules will continue for the next two weeks.

CM Basavaraj Bommai has held a meeting with officials and experts in the wake of increasing coronavirus infection in the state’s border districts and State capital Bengaluru.

Speaking after the meeting, he said vaccination rates should be increased in Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagalur, Udupi, Shivamogga, Hassan, Kodagu, Bangalore rural, Chamarajanagar and Mysore districts where the positivity rate is high. Complete vaccination should be done in border districts. “Coronation testing has been proposed to be increased in the districts of Raichur, Gulbarga, Haveri, Bidar, Tumkur, Chikmagalur and Rural Bangalore.”

The Genome Lab is being launched in the wake of the delta virus infection, and precautionary measures are being taken on Delta. The first wave started in Kerala. The second wave has just begun there. Thus it must be regulated. It is our responsibility to protect the lives of the people of the state. Instead of filing a case in the High Court, Kerala should take appropriate steps to control the infection.
