Karnataka heavy rainfall alert for 3 more days: 2 deaths reported in Udupi

Karnataka heavy rainfall alert: Due to the effect of Cyclone Mocha in the Bay of Bengal, Bengaluru will receive rain for three more days. The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that there will be rain in southern hinterland, northern hinterland, coastal Karnataka and Bengaluru.

Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy winds and rain in Mysuru, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Ramanagara, Hassan, Tumkur Bengaluru city. As there is a possibility of rain for the next three days.

In the wake of Mocha Cyclone in the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a three-day rain alert for the state. The effect of Cyclone Mocha has hit the state and the capital on a massive scale. Even so, effect of rain claimed the lives of two people yesterday (May 11).

Houses have collapsed due to stormy rains; acres of crops have been destroyed. The bridge connecting Beeranhalli-Ajjanahatti has sunk. Stormy rain in Udupi kills two people. A huge tree fell on the moving auto near Mazur Masjid in Kapu taluk.

As a result, Krishna and Pushpa, who were in the auto, breathed their last while sitting. The tragedy happened while coming from Shirva to Kapu. In Biranahalli village of Chikkamagaluru district, the bridge connecting Biranahalli-Ajjanahatti has been submerged due to rain and the connection has been cut to more than 10 villages.

Crops worth lakhs including groundnuts and tomatoes have been destroyed by rainwater entering the farm. In Peruvai village of Bantwala taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, Rain gave a shock to those who were celebrating the wedding. The compound of the house where the wedding was celebrated has collapsed. No one was near the compound so no injury occurred.
