Heavy rains in various districts including the state capital in the background of surface cyclone at sea level in South Tamil Nadu have disrupted life. IMD issued heavy Rainfall alert in Karnataka for next 5 days. Huge trees, electric poles and roofs of houses have collapsed in many places due to torrential rain.

Some casualties have also been reported. Officials of the State Meteorological Department have informed that there is a possibility of torrential rain for 5 more days in the state and heavy rain is likely for 2 days in Bengaluru city.

Rain is likely for 2 days in most of the southern interior districts and heavy rain is forecast in 17 southern interior districts. Moderate rain is likely in northern interior and coastal areas.

Heavy rain is likely to occur in the southern interior districts of Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Hassan, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Bengaluru and coastal Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

Also, the weather department has warned that the wind speed will also be high and the wind speed is likely to be 40-50 km per hour. On Tuesday, it rained again in many parts of the city. Many places including Majestic, KR Market, Shantinagar, Jayanagar, Vijayanagar, Banashankari, Hebbala, Rajajinagar were affected.
