IMD issued Heavy Rain Alert for these places in Karnataka

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted on Tuesday that there is a possibility of 4 days of rain in the coastal part of Karnataka due to the low pressure area in the Arabian Sea. IMD issued Heavy Rain Alert for these places in Karnataka.

Fishermen are strictly prohibited from entering the sea as a precautionary measure. Tourists and locals have been advised not to go to sea and river banks. Residents of low-lying areas have been instructed to move to safer places.

The Udupi district administration has issued a media release about the possibility of a storm. Meanwhile, many parts of the state capital Bengaluru received light rain on Tuesday afternoon.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center has shared information through a tweet that the Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of thundershowers at one or two places in Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Hassan and Shivamogga districts in the next 3 hours.

Monsoon will start late in Karnataka as Monsoon is yet to enter Kerala. However, weather department experts said on Monday that there will be good rains. As a result of depression in the Arabian Sea, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in some parts of southern interior Karnataka and a few parts of northern interior during the next 24 hours.

Similarly, the Indian meteorological department has predicted that there is a possibility of thundershowers in some parts of coastal and southern interior and a few parts of northern interior in the next 48 hours.
