Karnataka Cabinet 2023: BJP will announce opposition leader in next 3 days

Karnataka Cabinet 2023: Karnataka Assembly Election Results announced 24 days have passed. But the BJP is yet to elect the Leader of the opposition in the state. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, answering a question in Delhi on this matter, said that the party will choose the leader of the opposition in the next three days.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the party will take a decision on the position of the leader of the opposition in the next three days. The Leader of the opposition should have been appointed already. But our leaders are focused on the Odisha train accident, he said.

Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Basangouda Patil Yatnal are said to be aspirants for the post of Leader of the Opposition. Asked about the replacement of BJP Karnataka state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Joshi said the party will take an appropriate decision.

Joshi said that the tenure of the party’s state president has already ended and the party will take an appropriate decision at the right time. The term of party state president Nalin Kumar Kateel ended in August last year.

The period was extended due to assembly elections. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is likely to hold the budget session on July 7 and the BJP is expected to fill the vacancy before that.
