Information is available that “Yellow Alert” has been announced in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi districts.

Rain, who took a break for two weeks, is going to start his campaign again in the state. The Weather department India Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of Karnataka heavy rain in many parts of the state for the next three days. A yellow alert has been announced for the next five days in some districts of the coastal and southern interior of the state.

A yellow alert has been issued in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts today and tomorrow due to the possibility of widespread rain. On August 23, 24, 25, there will be heavy Rainfall in Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu district and yellow alert has already been given.

After 24th there is possibility of Karnataka heavy rainfall in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Kolar districts and yellow alert has been announced. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that a depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh will weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area during the next 24 hours.

In its bulletin, IMD said, “Depression over Northeast Madhya Pradesh near latitude 24.4°N and longitude 79.7°E, about 70 km north-northeast of Damoh (Madhya Pradesh). Heavy rainfall in this state: schools closed in 2 districts today.

To move west-northwestwards across north Madhya Pradesh and weaken into a Well-Marked Low Pressure Area during next 24 hours.” Due to the incessant rains, District Collector and Magistrate Neeraj Kumar Singh announced that there will be a holiday in all schools of the Narmadapuram district today 22 August.

Yesterday District Education Officer informed that the Bhopal administration had also decided to keep all schools closed for a day in the wake of heavy rainfall. The decision came amid heavy rainfall in Bhopal and a ‘red alert’ warning from the Indian Meteorological Department on Saturday about heavy rainfalls in four districts of Madhya Pradesh.
