In Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, Muslim female students have withdrawn their TCs from colleges that did not allow them to wear hijab. 16 percent girl students from colleges in coastal district have withdrawn their transfer letter. In Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, out of about 900 Muslim students, 145 Muslim students have withdrawn their transfer papers. While replying to the RTI queries, the Education Department informed that 34 percent of the girl students from the government colleges and 13 percent from the aided colleges have withdrawn their TCs.

Nagesh was not allowed to get education according to the right given by the constitution. Nagesh has made a piece of clothing a big controversy. This will cause a huge loss to the government.
