Today (Saturday) Moderate rainfall is likely to occur in more than 12 districts of Karnataka. The India Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain in many districts of the state for the next 3 days. In the wake of depression in the Bay of Bengal and a surface cyclone on the coast of Tamil Nadu.

There is a possibility of rain again in Karnataka till November 28.  Not only Bengaluru, the coastal districts of Karnataka, the southern hinterland and some parts of the northern hinterland are likely to receive heavy rainfall from today, according to the India Meteorological Department.

Widespread rain is expected in Karnataka Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Ramanagara, Mysuru, Tumkur, Vijayapur and Haveri districts today.

Heavy Rainfall alert Coastal districts like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada and hilly areas like Shivamogga, Kodagu and Hassan will also receive heavy rainfall. Similarly, the south interior districts of Karnataka such as Mandya, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Davangere, Mysore, Tumkur and Vijayapur, Dharwad and Haveri districts of North Karnataka are likely to receive showers today.

Weather experts said that due to the depression in the Bay of Bengal, the state will have cloudy weather for the next two days and there is a possibility of showers. Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Mysore, Mandya, Madikeri, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Chitradurga districts will receive heavy rain from today.

There will be sunny and cloudy weather in some districts. A few districts including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Hassan, Kodagu of Dakshina Kannada are likely to experience light rain till November 28. During this period, it is said that there may be showers in many areas of northern interior.
