Heavy Rainfall Alert in Karnataka till September 18

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the coastal and southern hinterland of the state till September 18. In the next 24 hours, the state’s coastal districts like Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada will receive good rainfall.

It has also informed that there is a possibility of good rain in the northern hinterlands as well. Heavy rainfall is forecast in Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Chikmagalur districts, and moderate rain is forecast for 5 days from today in many parts of Belgavi, Bagalkote, Bidar, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Yadagiri, Bengaluru, Chamarajanagar, Davangere, Hassan districts.

It has already rained in many parts of Udupi, Dakhina Kannada, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Chamarajanara, Hubli and Davangere districts and the weather department has forecast that rain will continue in these districts today as well. While some parts of Dakshina Kannada, Karvar and Malnad districts are experiencing heavy rainfall
Many districts including the state capital Bengaluru are receiving moderate rains from time to time.

Also, heavy rain is forecast in many parts today. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in some parts of the state coastal districts such as Karwar, Udupi, some parts in Dakhina Kannada districts, hilly districts such as Chikmagalur, Shivamogga, Madikeri.

Information is available that the state capital Bengaluru is going to experience thundershowers in the evening. Moderate rain with thundershowers will occur at some places in Ramanagara, Haveri, Vijayanagar, Davangere, Chitradurga, Dharwad, Koppal, Belgavi, Bagalkote, Raichur, Kalaburagi districts.
