Heavy Rainfall Alert: In the coastal districts of the state, Heavy rain pouring in the last couple of days. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the coastal districts in the next 24 hours. Apart from that, Orange Alert has been announced for Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. It will rain throughout the day in the coastal districts of the state today, and strong winds are likely to blow towards the sea coast, so locals and tourists have been warned not to go.

On July 15 and 16, yellow alert has been declared in six districts including the coastal districts and the southern inland districts of Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga and Kodugu. According to the Indi Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in South Interior and North Interior districts.

India Meteorological Department said that from last 24 hours rain poured in Kolluru 18cm, Siddapur 17 cm, Gerusoppu 13 cm, Manki 12 cm, Kota 10 cm and Panambur 9 cm.
