According to government data, nearly 1.10 crore women have registered for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme in the Karnataka. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and national president of Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge, will be the chief guests at the event. The Karnataka government has earmarked Rs 17,500 crore for ‘Gruha Lakshmi’ programme in the current financial year.
Gruha Lakshmi scheme is one among the 5 guarantee made by the Congress in the 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections held in May. Congress government has already implemented three of the five pre-poll promises ‘Shakti Sheme’, ‘Gruha Jyothi scheme’ and ‘Anna Bhagya’ and ‘Gruha Lakshmi Scheme’ is the fourth one. The fifth one is the ‘Yuva Nidhi’ scheme that promises to provide unemployment allowance to the state’s youth.
The registration for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme began on July 19. Women listed as family heads on Antyodaya, Below Poverty Line (BPL), and Above Poverty Line (APL) ration cards are eligible for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. Only one woman in a family will be the beneficiary of this scheme.

– First visit Seva Sindhu website: sevasindhuservices.karnataka.gov.in
– An option called Check Your Application Status will appear on the first page of the website itself.
– Enter your application number. Remember, the application number received when you apply is also required to check application status.
– Click on the Check Status Now option.
– Get information whether registration is successful or not for Grilahakshmi Scheme. If successful you will get 2 thousand rupees from today. You will not get this money this month if it is still in processing stage.
