Bengaluru to Karwar Train cancel from December 14

A notification by the Principal Chief Operations Manager on December 11 said that the Ministry of Railways has approved pre-interlocking for five days from December 14 to December 18 and non-interlocking for four days from December 19 to December 22 at Hassan Junction.

South Western Railway said it will cancel all trains between Bengaluru and Mangalore on various dates from December 14 to December 22 to carry out yard reconstruction at Hassan Junction railway station in Hassan.

Upgrading the interlocking from standard 1 to 3 will allow simultaneous movement of trains between Araseekere, Nelamangala (Bangalore), Mysore and Mangalore in all four directions of South West. Line Block and Signal and Telecommunication Block will be in force from 2 PM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM from December 14 to 18.

During this period none of the railway lines of Hassan will be available for train operation. Traffic block will be in effect from 8 am to 2 pm from December 19 to December 22 for engineering work. No train runs during this period.
List of Canceled Trains:

Bangalore-Kannur-Bangalore and Bangalore-Karwar-Bangalore Panchganga Express night services are among the canceled trains. Train No. 16511 Bangalore-Kannur and Train No. 16595 Bangalore-Karwar Panchganga Express from December 16 to December 20 have been cancelled. Their connecting services – train numbers 16512 and 16596 – have been canceled from December 17 to December 21.

Train No. 16575 Yeshavantpur-Mangalore Jn Gomateshwar Tri-Weekly Express has been canceled on December 14, 17, 19 and 21. Jodi train (16576) is canceled on 15th, 18th, 20th and 22nd December. Train No. 16515 Yeshwantpur-Karwar Tri-Weekly Express has been canceled on December 13, 15, 18, 20 and 22.

Train No. 16516 Karwar-Yashwantpur tri-weekly has been canceled on 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st and 23rd December. Train No. 16539/16540 Yeswantpur-Mangalore Junction Weekly Express on 16th and 17th December respectively has been cancelled.

Train number 16585/16586 Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal-Bangalore-Murdeshwar will be the only train connecting the state capital to the coast. But during this period it does not operate through Mysore region.

From December 14 to December 16, trains will operate via Bangalore City, Mandya and Mysore via Yesvantpur Bypass, Nelamangala, Sravanabelagola and Hassan. From December 17 to December 22, these trains will leave the Mysore route and operate via the Yeshwantpur Bypass, Tumkur, Araseekere and Hassan routes.
