DA increase will be effective from the new year itself:

With the commencement of New Year 2024, increment will be available on monthly pay basis. How much increase in salary of central government employees:

Currently, the basic salary of pay-band level-1 government employees is Rs.18,000. This is the minimum basic salary. But, in the same calculation, when the allowance is calculated as 50%, As mentioned earlier, once the gratuity reaches 50 percent, it is reduced to zero and added to the basic pay. That means when Rs 9,000 is added to the basic salary of Rs 18,000, it increases to Rs 27,000. After this, the Dearness allowance is Rs 27,000.

Increase in House Rent Allowance:

According to the DoPT’s memorandum, the house rent allowance for central government employees will be revised on the basis of increase in allowance. According to the type of city, HRA is paid at the rate of 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent. As per the memorandum issued in 2015, the HRA will be revised from time to time. HRA also changes when the pension exceeds 50%.

HRA increases by 3% :

The next revision in House Rent Allowance will be 3% under the 7th Pay Commission. HRA will increase to 30% from the current maximum rate of 27%. When DA exceeds 50%, HRA increases to 30%, 20% and 10%. House rent allowance will be given according to X, Y and Z category cities.
