Indian Railway: These trains are canceled from today
Bengaluru-Karwar Express train cancelled: Line block and signal and telecommunication block will be in effect from December 14 to 18 from 2 pm to 6 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
The Karwar-Bangalore train is providing a direct connection between the coast and Silicon City Bangalore. Thousands of people travel through this train every day. But the Indian Railway department has informed that the Karawar – Bangalore train will not run from December 14.
Principal Chief Operations Manager of the Ministry of Railways said that train services will be suspended due to pre-interlocking for five days from December 14 to December 18 and interlock installation work at Hassan Junction for four days from December 19 to December 22.
South Western Railway said it will cancel all trains between Bengaluru and Mangalore on various dates from December 14 to December 22 for yard reconstruction at Hassan Junction railway station in Hassan. In a notification dated December 11, the Ministry of Railways had announced pre-interlocking for five days from December 14 to December 18 and non-interlocking for four days from December 19 to December 22 at Hassan Junction.

Upgrading the interlocking from standard 1 to 3 will allow trains to run simultaneously in all four directions in the southwest between Araseikere, Nelamangala (Bangalore), Mysore and Mangalore. Line Block and Signal and telecommunication block will be in force from December 14 to 18 from 2 PM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.
During this period, no trains will ply on the Hassan railway line. Traffic block will be in force from December 19-22 for repair work. The Railway Department informed that no train will run from 8 am to 2 pm.
Information about canceled trains:
Bangalore-Kannur-Bangalore and Bangalore-Karwar-Bangalore Panchganga Express night services are among the canceled trains. Train No. 16511 Bangalore-Kannur and Train No. 16595 Bangalore-Karwar Panchganga Express from December 16 to December 20 have been cancelled. Their connecting services – train numbers 16512 and 16596 – have been canceled from December 17 to December 21.

Train No. 16575 Yeshavantpur-Mangalore JN Gomateshwar Tri-Weekly Express has been canceled on December 14, 17, 19 and 21. Jodi train (16576) has been canceled on December 15, 18, 20 and 22. Train No. 16515 Yeshwantpur-Karwara Tri-Weekly Express has been canceled on December 13, 15, 18, 20 and 22.
Train No. 16516 Karwar-Yeshwantpur train is canceled on 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st and 23rd December. Train No. 16539/16540 Yeshavantpur-Mangalore Junction Weekly Express on December 16 and 17 respectively has been cancelled.

Also, train number 16585/16586 is the only train connecting Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal-Bangalore-Murdeswar to the state capital coast. From December 14 to December 16, trains will operate via Bangalore City, Mandya and Mysore via Yesvantpur Bypass, Nelamangala, Sravanabelagola and Hassan.
From December 17 to December 22, these trains will depart via Mysore and travel via Yeswantpur Bypass, Tumkur, Araseekere and Hassan.
