KH Muniyappa said that Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh governments have come forward to give rice. And he said that they will work on to give ten kg of rice as soon as possible.

The Karnataka Congress government is working to provide 10 kg of rice as promised to the people of the state before the Assembly election 2023. Speaking about this, Minister KH Muniyappa said that Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh governments have come forward to give rice. The purchase of rice will become final in a week. Currently the tender process is going on. Negotiations are going on regarding pricing. Muniyappa said that they will work on to give ten kg of rice as soon as possible. If government will give 10 kg rice from this month they will stop sending money from September 2023.

Karnataka Food Minister KH Muniyappa said that rice will be given to drought-affected taluks instead of money. Due to lack of rainfall in state 114 taluks situation is worst. Preparations are being made to distribute 10 kg of rice to these taluks. Also, preparations have been made for drought declaration in all these taluks, he said.

Under the Anna Bhagya scheme, the Karnataka government has decided to pay cash to beneficiaries at the rate of Rs 34 per kg, for the additional 5 kg of rice under the free rice scheme, which is applicable to every member of a BPL household and ‘Antyodaya’ households.

Go to the “RATION CARD STATUS MODULE” section and choose “ONLY FOR BENGALURU DISTRICTS CLICK HERE.”

Next, select “Status of DBT.

Select 2023 as the year and July as the month.

Enter your RC Number and click on the “GO” button to check the status of the benefits received under the Anna Bhagya Scheme.
