Bank of Baroda customer: Big changes in UPI transaction

Bank of Baroda, which is known as the government bank of the country, has started a special service for the people. The bank has launched CBDC UPI QR interoperability in the Bank of Baroda Digital Rupee app.

Bank of Baroda have introduced special services for their customers. Especially, Bank of Baroda, which is known as the government bank of the country, has started a special service for the people. It has already introduced many online services to its customers. It has now introduced a new scheme to be more helpful to customers who made online transaction.

Generally, the bank has launched CBDC UPI QR interoperability in the Bank of Baroda Digital Rupee app. Through this new service, bank customers will be able to make UPI payments through digital rupees. This facility is launched for users only.

This service of Bank of Baroda enables easy transactions between customers and shopkeepers. After this, customers will be able to make payments through Bank of Baroda digital currency by scanning any UPI QR code. At the same time, not all shopkeepers are required to join as CBDC merchants. But despite this, they will be able to make payments in digital rupees with the help of a QR payment acceptance terminal running from their city.

Bank of Baroda this Services started in these cities in the country:

Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Pune, Lucknow, Patna, Gangtok, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Shimla, Goa, Varanasi, Pondicherry, Vijayawada, Ranchi, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam etc. Bank of Baroda has launched a new service including cities.

What is Digital Rupee?

A digital rupee is a legal tender issued in digital form by the country’s central bank RBI. CBDC UPI QR interoperability is an extension of the CBDC-Retail pilot project launched by the RBI last year.
