Despite having applied for the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, most of the house owners have not yet received the money of the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme in their bank accounts. The main reason for this is the ration card. In most of the BPL cards, the men of the household are mentioned as the head of the household. If men of the household are mentioned as heads in the ration cards then they will not get the benefit of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

Provision has been made for correction of names in ration cards so that eligible beneficiaries are not deprived of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. Correction of ration card has been allowed from September 1, and the mistakes in their ration card can be corrected within the next ten days.

Ration cards can be amended at Bangalore One, Karnataka One, Bapooji Seva Kendra and Food and Civil Service Department offices in Taluk Office. Even if you have income tax payer on your ration card, you will not get the benefit of the scheme.

If the mistakes in the ration card are rectified and women are included in the ration cards as house owners, they will be able to get Rs 2000 per month through the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme. Therefore, those who have not yet deposited the money of Rs 2000 of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme in their bank account, do this work today.
