Any ration card holders of the state who have not done e-KYC till now should compulsorily complete e-KYC at their nearest fair price shop. For direct transfer of funds to the account of ration card holders, their bank account with Aadhaar card in the bank EKYC and NPCI mapping should be done.

The Karnataka Food Department has instructed that if the money given in exchange of 5 kg of rice under the Anna Bhagya Yojana of the state government is not deposited in the beneficiary’s account, they should complete EKYC compulsorily at their nearest fair price shop without fail.

Also cardholders who do not have an account should open a new account with a nationalized bank or an Indian Postal Payment Bank account with the Department of Posts. SC and ST card holders have been asked to provide Xerox copy of ration card and caste certificate issued by AJSK at fair price shop to update their family information.

Under the National Food Security Act, ration food has been distributed to the ration card holders with effect from the month of September. 21 kg of rice and 14 kg of millet per card for Antyodaya ration card holders,3 kg of rice and 2 kg of millet to each member will be distributed free of cost to priority and BPL ration card holders. And 5 kg rice will be distributed to APL single member ration card holders and 10 kg rice to those having two and more members who agreed at Rs.15 per kg.
