The Agriculture Minister N Chaluvarayaswamy said that a review will be conducted to provide nutritious food instead of Anna Bhagya money. Speaking at Vikasa Soudha, he said that the farmer leaders have met and requested to provide supplementary nutritious food instead of paying money in the ration system.

He said that it will be checked and action will be taken. In the meeting, the farmers suggested to distribute 5 kg of rice along with millet or corn and groundnut oil. He said that they are made a demand under the Cereal Incentive Scheme. If government start giving nutritious food Anna Bhagya money will stop.

Ration Card Holder Bad News Here: 93,000 Ration Card Applications Rejected:

As a result of the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, Gruha Jyoti and Anna Bhagya Yojana in Karnataka, there has been a lot of applications not only for new ration cards, but also for amendment of existing Ration cards in the state, with 3.18 lakh applications received in a single month.

More than three lakh applications have been submitted for ration card amendment and more than 93 thousand applications have been rejected. 3.18 lakh applications for new ration card and amendment were submitted in one month due to Anna Bhagya, Gruha Lakshmi and Gruha Jyoti Yojana.

The Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs has invited online applications for correction of beneficiary information, addition of name of new family members, change of address etc. The date was extended due to server problem causing difficulty in submission of application. 3.18 lakh applications were amended and 1,47,646 applications were awarded. 93,362 applications were rejected.

Applications were invited through online for correction of beneficiary information, addition of name of new family member, change of address etc. in the existing ration card of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. The extension was also done because people were bothered by frequent server issues.

Despite this, millions of applications have received. Belagavi district received the highest number of applications, 22,506 applications in a single month from August 20 to September 20. This information came out when the food department officials checked.

Thus, such applications are rejected. At present, the application for amendment has been temporarily suspended. Jyanendra Kumar Gangwar, Additional Director, Public Distribution (Vigilance) of the Food Department said that the amendment will be allowed again in the coming days.
