Karnataka Bandh: School, College, Hotel, Theater close; Check complete details

Pro Kannada Organization call for Karnataka Bandh Tomorrow (September 29) to condemn the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Essential services are available. Auto taxis, KRTC,BMTC, Movie Theater, Shopping Mall, Multiplex, shop fronts will remain closed.

Entire Karnataka will be almost silent tomorrow for Karnataka Bandh call by various organizations including pro-farmer organizations to condemn the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

Karnataka will be closed from 6 am to 6 pm, and before leaving home, the public should know what is available and unavailable in the state tomorrow. Schools and colleges may be close tomorrow, private transport including auto taxis, petrol stations, hotel shop fronts will be closed.

What is available: government office, metro, hospital, medicine shops, ambulance, milk and essential services will be available.

What is not available: Private transport including auto, KRTC, BMTC, taxi, Ola, Uber, petrol stations, schools and colleges (will decide today afternoon), industries, entrepreneurship, shop fronts, Film theater, multiplex, shoping mall etc.

Film industry support for Bandh: Karnataka film industry has given moral support to Karnataka Bandh. Film Board of Trade President N.M Suresh said, “When it comes to the issue of Nadu Nudi Jal, we are all one. Everyone from the film industry supports the farmers’ struggle.”

Holiday for schools and colleges: Today 11 am education board call for meeting with official and they will annouce afternoon whether school and college holiday or not.
