Bengaluru: Women’s IPL 2023: Indian Premier League is entering its 16th year after completing 15 years, BCCI is planning to organize Women’s IPL for the first time. The maiden edition of the Women’s IPL tournament will be held in the month of March next year, and a total of 5 teams will appear. The Women’s T20 World Cup tournament to be held in South Africa will end on February 26 next year, followed by the Women’s IPL tournament in India. A total of 22 matches will be played in the Women’s IPL, and maximum 18 players can be accommodated in each team. Out of these, only 6 foreign players are allowed. What is special is that five foreign players can be included in the playing XI. Four of these players must be from a country that is a full member of the ICC and one player must be from an associate status of the ICC. Only four foreign players are allowed in the playing XI in the men’s IPL.
