Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has beaten Rohit Sharma to achieve a new world record. Harmanpeet is now the most capped T20I player in the world. Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur set a new world record by becoming the most capped player in world cricket in the T20I format. The ongoing clash between India and England in the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup at St. George’s Park is Harmanpreet’s 149th T20I clash.

Harmanpreet has broken a long-standing record held by Indian men’s team captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit has played a total of 148 T20Is for India.

Harmanpreet breaks Rohit Sharma’s record just days after being signed by the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction. Rohit and Harmanpreet will now not only be leading the Indian team but also the men’s and women’s teams of MI.
