Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur set a new world record by becoming the most capped player in world cricket in the T20I format. The ongoing clash between India and England in the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup at St. George’s Park is Harmanpreet’s 149th T20I clash.

Harmanpreet has broken a long-standing record held by Indian men’s team captain Rohit Sharma. Rohit has played a total of 148 T20Is for India.
