I League giants Gokulam Kerala take on Super Division debutants Roots FC as the Stafford Challenge Cup tournament makes a comeback after 30 years on Thursday. Gokulam and Roots open the action at 1.30 pm at the Bangalore Football Stadium while in the second game at 4.00 pm, Dempo Goa meet MEG & Centre.
A total of 15 teams have been allotted to four groups and the group winners advance to the knockout semifinals. With some players just coming off a tough Santosh Trophy pre-final round , most others will be using the event to prepare for the upcoming Hero I League Two competition.
