BCCI appoints Rahul Dravid as head coach of Team India

It has been reported that former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid has been appointed as head coach of Team India. Notably, Ravi Shastri’s tenure as coach will end after the T20 World Cup and Dravid has been already appointed till 2023.

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah held a meeting with Dravid and convinced him to took the job. Earlier, it was reported that Dravid will coach Team India in the T20I series against New Zealand but BCCI has successfully convinced Dravid to take the job full-time TOI Reported.

“Dravid has confirmed he will be the next head coach of the Indian team. He will be stepping down as the head of NCA soon”, a BCCI official was quoted saying to media. It has been also reported that Paras Mhambrey has been appointed as the bowling coach of Team India. Meanwhile, Vikram Rathour will continue as a batting coach.
