Meanwhile, an eye problem has hampered the dream of an ABD comeback. AB de Villiers underwent surgery to manage an eye problem. For this reason, the batsman of Mr. 360 fame has revealed through social media that he cannot make a comeback to professional cricket.

AB de Villiers, who bid farewell to international cricket in 2018, played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the last time in 2021. Later he said goodbye to the IPL career. After that, the fans have requested many times for the comeback of the star player. However, ABD has clarified that a comeback is not possible.

Ab de Villiers has scored 4522 runs from 157 matches played in IPL. “I am going to go to Chinnaswamy Stadium next year. But, cricket will not be played there. I have to apologize to RCB fans and the franchise for not winning the IPL trophyThank you for supporting me all these years. I can’t play cricket now. Because I have undergone a surgery for my right eye problem,” ABD said in social media.

At the same time, AB de Villiers also said that he will start a YouTube channel and he will invite former India captain Virat Kohli as the first guest on his channel. Apart from that, he has recently been invited to play in the Legends League cricket tournament.

“I also got an invitation to play Legends League cricket. But I have to understand that I am old now. Legends League is full of fun. But I have an eye surgery. It can be thought that I can’t play in one eye. But, I am not one to take that risk,” he said.

“I am not planning to coach any team. But, I also want to share what I have learned. That time will surely come. I will not join any team for now. I will not coach or travel for now After 18 years of travelling, I am now looking forward to spending time with my family,” he said.
