RCB captain Faf du Plessis join CSK franchise for T20 league 2023

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis is now all set to join Chennai Super Kings again. RCB captain Faf du Plessis join CSK franchise for T20 league 2023. But, not in the Indian Premier League tournament. The CSK franchise is included in the new CSA T20 league tournament which is being started by the South African Cricket Association.

The official name of the tournament is yet to be announced by the South African Cricket Board and the tournament will be held in February 2023. Six teams of the new T20 league 2023 have been bought by IPL franchises. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the CSK franchise has bought Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali for the South African T20 league. Moeen Ali is still a key player in the Chennai team.

The Mumbai Indians franchise ‘MI Cape Town’ has already ensured that they have taken under their wing the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Devald Brevis, Rashid Khan, Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone. Devald Brevis, who played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2022 tournament, made his debut in the IPL.

Lucknow Supergiants’ Quinton de Kock has also joined the LSG-owned team in the South African league, the report said. The Delhi Capitals-owned team has roped in star pacer Enrique Norquia. Aiden Markrum has joined the Port Elizabeth team, which owns the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.

The names of the new league teams and the details of the players in the team will be revealed by the South African Cricket Association very soon. Now as per BCCI rules Indian players are not allowed to play in foreign leagues. BCCI has banned the players of Team India and IPL from playing in foreign leagues.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Johannesburg franchise, Mumbai Indians owned by Reliance Industries, Cape Town franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad owned by Sun TV Group, Gebera (Port Elizabeth) franchise teams. R.P Sanjeev Goenka Group has bought the Durban franchise, Rajasthan Royals team Paar franchise, Pretoria franchise Jindal South West Sports (Delhi Capitals co-owners).
