Rajasthan Royals top player injured, former cricketer said RR top vs MI in IPL 2022

Sanju Samson now has the full squad at his disposal with Rassie van der Dussen completing his quarantine. Rajasthan Royals top player injured, former cricketer said RR to vs MI in IPL 2022. It is Nathan Coulter-Nile’s injury that will be troubling Sanju with James Neesham all set to replace the Aussie for the match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

Former Indian batter Aakash Chopra said that the Rajasthan Royals (RR) will have the upper hand in their IPL 2022 contest against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday. According to Chopra, apart from the injury concerns over Nathan Coulter-Nile, RR have nothing much to worry about.

Rajasthan Royals bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile had a side strain during the follow-through in his 4th over against SRH and did not complete his quota. While the injury is not too serious, he will be rested for the match with Kiwi James Neesham taking over the role. He will also be handy with the bat.

The other good news for RR is the availability of Rassie van der Dussen. However, with Shimron Hetmyer in good form, he is unlikely to make his IPL debut. The South African completed his quarantine on Wednesday and joined with the rest of the squad. RR will take on MI at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai in the first match of Saturday’s double header.

Previewing the game, Chopra said on his YouTube channel: “Rajasthan Royals usually find a way to beat Mumbai. This time, they have started positively as well. The only problem I see for RR is Nathan Coulter-Nile’s injury. If he is not fit, they will have to bring in someone (possibly James Neesham). He was expensive in the last game, but if he is fit, I will play him again.”
