Yuzvendra Chahal said that, this is a challenge for me. Playing in English county cricket and I am very much looking forward to playing cricket. Recently, Chahal was not selected for India’s ODI World Cup squad 2023. Instead of Chahal, the Team India selection committee has selected Kuldeep Yadav for the team. Besides, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel have been selected as spin all-rounders.

Chahal is the second Indian to play for Kent after seamer Arshdeep Singh, who took 13 wickets in five games for Kent in June-July 2023. “We are delighted to have a spinner of Yuzvendra Chahal’s quality for the last three Championship matches of the season,” said club head coach Paul Downton. Chahal, who is yet to make his Test debut for India, has played 33 first-class matches, taking 87 wickets at an average of 35.25. His best spell was 6 wicket for 44 runs.
