KL Rahul Lucknow, Pandya Ahmedabad, Shreyas Iyer lead this team for IPL 2022

BCCI announced dates of the mega auction with the IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirming that it will be held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. The league chairman also confirmed that Tata Group will replace Chinese mobile manufacturer, Vivo, as the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League from 2022. Reports says KL Rahul will lead Lucknow team, Hardik Pandya will lead Ahmedabad and Shreyas Iyer will lead this team in IPL 2022.

The Tata Group will take over the Indian Premier League’s title sponsors from the 2022 edition, league chairman Brijesh Patel said after the Governing Council meeting on Tuesday. “Yes, Tata group is coming in as IPL title sponsor,” IPL chairman Brijesh Patel said. VIVO had signed a 5-year deal in 2018 worth Rs 440 crore annually until 2022. However, the Chinese mobile manufacturer had a year of its contract paused in 2020 due to border tensions.

The Chinese mobile manufacturer agreed to honour the remainder of the contract in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Sports fantasy platform Dream11 had taken over as the title sponsor in the 2020 edition before Vivo returned in 2021. Till the end of the 2023 edition, Tata Group will replace Vivo as the title sponsor of the cash-rich league. The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League will have as many as 10 teams as two new teams, one from Ahmedabad and the other from Lucknow, are all set to join the cash-rich league. As per report KL Rahul will lead Lucknow and Hardik Pandya will lead Ahmedabad. Some reports says KL Rahul will get highest amount in IPL history this year mega auction.

Shreyas Iyer was not retained by the Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the 2022 IPL mega auctions. Rishabh Pant was appointed as the skipper of the Delhi Capitals (DC) side for the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), and Iyer, who captained the side in IPL 2020 was also released from the franchise. Shreyas Iyer was released by Delhi Capitals (DC) ahead of the 2022 IPL mega auction. Rishabh Pant was once again appointed captain by Delhi Capitals for the 15th season.

Shreyas Iyer presented the view of brilliant captaincy for Delhi in the IPL 2020 season. Under the leadership of Iyer, Delhi Capitals reached the final for the first time in the history of this tournament. During this, Iyer was also the fourth highest run-scorer in IPL 2020. He scored 519 runs in 17 matches at an average of 34.60. Shreyas Iyer has also shown a better game with the bat in the IPL.

The 27-year-old batsman has so far featured in 87 IPL matches and has scored 2375 runs at an average of 31.67 and a strike rate of 125. In the 2021 season of IPL, this batsman scored 175 runs in 8 matches at an average of 35. Iyer has hit 16 fifties in his IPL career so far. Shreyas Iyer has participated in 2 Tests, 22 ODIs and 32 T20 Internationals for Team India so far.

According to a report the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is one of the teams interested in bringing Shreyas Iyer on board as a potential captain. Shreyas Iyer’s previous experience guiding an IPL team has piqued the interest of KKR for a leadership position. DC reached the tournament’s finals under Iyer’s leadership. He was also the fourth-highest run-scorer in IPL 2020, with 519 runs scored at an average of 34.60. Iyer has the experience of leading an IPL side before, and the KKR side has shown interest in the right-handed batter for a leadership role.
