KL Rahul was all praise for South Africa trio Kagiso Rabada and said that would be sought after in the upcoming mega auction ahead of the 2022 Indian Premier League. Rahul, who was recently announced as captain of the new Lucknow franchise, the Lucknow Super Giants, said that Rabada would be a bowler that any team would be keen to sign up.

“We have seen Rabada being a key bowler for the Delhi Capitals and played a huge part in their success. Every team would want a player like Kagiso Rabada. Come on, he bowls over 145kph and is a very smart cricketer. Everyone would want someone like that,” said Rahul about the South African pace spearhead.

“Marco Jansen played a few games for Mumbai Indians but he has come of his own now. He had a really good series with the red ball and that makes a little bit of a difference with how people see him. He is someone who will do really well in international cricket with the red ball. We all spoke about it after the series as well that he is going to be the next big thing in international cricket,” said Rahul.

Kagiso Rabada getting bought for Rs 5 crore by Delhi Daredevils for the 2017 season of IPL. Kagiso Rabada was bought by Delhi Daredevils before the 2017 season of the IPL. He played 6 matches in 2017 and took as many wickets. In 2018, he was ruled out of the tournament. In 2019, he returned to the tournament and took 25 wickets in 12 matches with an average of 14.72.

Kagiso Rabada made his Twenty20 international debut in 2014 against Australia national cricket team. He managed to take one wicket in the two matches that he played in his debut series. In 2015, South Africa hosted New Zealand and Rabada took 5 wickets in two matches. He was selected for the 2016 Twenty20 World Cup. Rabada took five wickets in the three matches that he played in the tournament.

In February 2021, Jansen was bought by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League.[11] Jansen made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 9 April 2021. He took 2 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs, which included the wicket of Glenn Maxwell, his debut IPL wicket.
