Ishant Sharma, Sandeep Warrier can enter CSK for IPL 2022

Deepak Chahar had sustained a right quadriceps injury while turning out for India in the final T20I against West Indies at Kolkata and was ruled out of the subsequent T20I series against Sri Lanka. The bowling all-rounder has been at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for further management and recovery from the injury. Some reports say Ishant Sharma or Sandeep Warrier can enter Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for IPL 2022 replacement of Deepak Chahar.

Ishant Sharma is another cricketer who has been a journeyman in Indian cricket for over a decade now. Ishant Sharma could be a suitable replacement to Chahar given he has played at the IPL previously and has a good understanding of T20 cricket. In his most recent outing for the Delhi Capitals, the fast bowler showed he can be a valuable option with the ball given his control and seam bowling abilities.
