“To be honest, I thought about that. There is no denying it. Many franchisees also contacted me. Then thought about it. At the end of the day, everyone has a certain number of years, lives that many years and then dies, and so on.
There are greats who have won many trophies. But no one addresses him in the room as “Oh, he’s the IPL champion” or he’s the World Cup champion”. If we are a good person people will like us, if we are a bad person people will stay away from us,” Kohli explained why he decided to stay with RCB team.

He recalled the confidence Royal Challengers placed in him when other franchises didn’t have much faith in him. Saying that his wife Anushka Sharma’s opinion is very important to him, Kohli says that he does not care about anyone else’s opinion when it comes to his decisions.

RCB have brought in Green from Mumbai Indians (MI) in a trade announced a day after the retention list deadline. Two more big changes from the RCB camp are Harshal Patel and Vanindu Hasaranga. The Sri Lankan spinner did not play any part in the recently concluded ODI World Cup due to injury.
