Ricky Ponting, a former Australian captain, is one of the greats of cricket having scored 13378 Test and 13704 ODI runs in a career spanning from 1995 to 2012. Ponting is also joint second with Virat Kohli the list of most hundreds in international cricket.

Ponting, who retired from international cricket in 2012, led Australia in 77 Tests from 2004 to 2010 and won 48 of those matches. He is currently the head coach of the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting was rushed to the hospital after a health scare which occurred to him during day 3 of the first test between Australia and West Indies. Reports suggests that the 47-year-old was commentating on live TV when the situation occured and he was taken to the hospital without any delay.
