INDW vs AUSW T20 Series: India squad announced for T20 series against Australia

Australia Women’s Cricket Team will tour India this month and will play a T20 series against India Women’s Team. Now the women’s cricket team selection committee has announced the 15-member India squad for this series. BCCI has taken some important decisions and star player Pooja Vastrakar has been dropped from this series. INDW vs AUSW T20 Series: India squad announced for T20 series against Australia.

Suffering from injury, Pooja Vastrakar has not been selected for this series. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the team as the captain while Smriti Mandana will be the vice-captain. Shafali Verma, Jemia Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma have got a place in the team. Karnataka spinner Rajeshwari Gaikwad has also featured in the squad named for the T20 series against Australia. Besides this, four net bowlers have also been named. Monica Patel, Arundhati Reddy, SB Pokerkar and Simran Bahadur are the net bowlers.

A total of five T20 matches have been organized between India Women’s team and Australia Men’s team. If the first T20 is held on December 9, d. 11 Second T20, d. 14 Third match, d. 17 and d. Fourth and fifth T20 will be held on 20th. The first two matches in this were D.Y. Patil Stadium, the remaining three matches were organized at BCCI.

This match is being organized for the preparation of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in 2023. This series is important for both the India and Australia teams and they need to make a proper plan to build the team.
