Ind vs SL T20: 8 players in strict isolation, Bhuvneshwar is Captain for Remaining match: here is probable playing XI

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will don the skipper’s hat for the remaining two matches of the T20I series against Sri Lanka. Also, the 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka, which was scheduled to take place on 27th July 2021, will now be held on 28th July 2021 after Pandya tested positive.

These 8 players are Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Suryakumar Yadav, Prithvi Shaw, Manish Pandey, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Ishan Kishan. Hence, due to strict isolation, these players might not be able to play in the rest two T20I games, slated to be played today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday).

Other than Kumar, the players who are not sent in strict isolation and will be available to be part of the playing XI in the 2nd and 3rd T20Is are Sanju Samson, Deepak Chahar, Varun Chakravarthy, Manish Pandey, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Rana, Navdeep Saini, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Chahar, Devdutt Padikkal, and Chetan Sakariya.

Meanwhile, Krunal Pandya has been sent to a different hotel after contacting Covid-19. While the rest of the team has stayed in Colombo. The Indian squad will travel back to India on July 30, however, Pandya will not travel with the Indian contingent. After 2 weeks of quarantine, he will be tested for RT-PCR and will take a flight after a negative report.
