Sharing a crucial update on Shan Masood, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the star batter has escaped ‘superficial bruising’ after being hit on the head during the net session in Melbourne. “All of Shan Masood’s neurological observations are normal. His CT scan only shows superficial bruising where the ball struck him,” the apex cricket board of Pakistan said in a statement.

The PCB has confirmed that Shan Masood will be re-tested on Saturday for concussion. Although the team doctor has said that there is no more risk after this incident, whether Shan Masood will be available for Sunday’s match or not will be known from the medical expert’s report based on the scanning report.

But before the T20 World Cup match against India, Pakistan can breathe a sigh of relief as star pacer Shaheen Afridi has joined the team with fitness. 33-year-old Shan Masood has played twelve T20 matches for Pakistan so far, in which Masood has scored 220 runs with the bat at a strike rate of 125.00.

After the incident, Pakistan’s vice-captain Shadab Khan explained about the incident and said that he was hit in a sensitive area and we do not know anything about his health status at present.
