SDMC was allowed to collect Rs 100 as a monthly donation from the parents of students for the maintenance of toilets, electricity bills and drinking water in government schools. Parents and education experts have now expressed outrage over the circular issued by the Commissioner of School Education and Literacy. The Education Minister has left problem for children education. Parents did not even come to the meeting once in three months. Poor students bring their parents children to government schools for free education.

He questioned how the government is going to collect now. It was a clear violation of the Right of Child Act 2009 for free and compulsory education. Every year the government releases grants in the budget for the provision of infrastructure in government schools.

However, as sometimes the need requires additional financial assistance, the education department said in a circular that every students parents can donate 100 rupees monthly in the form of contribution to the school development and supervision committee account and use it for school development and educational development.

There is widespread opposition to the Education Department circular, and parents and private school organizations are also hearing opposition to the Education Department move. The parents complained that the schools were being privatized. The education department is going to take away the basic education rights of children.
