Rohit Sharma is unavailable for the first Test
Captain Rohit Sharma, who was injured during the second ODI, was ruled out of the third ODI. Also, whether Rohit will be available for the second Test or not will depend on the doctor’s report. Therefore, BCCI has informed that Abhimanyu Easwaran has been selected for the team instead of Rohit for the first Test.
Injury to Rohit Sharma and others
Not only Rohit Sharma, two more experienced Indian players have been ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja, who were previously out of the team due to injury, are yet to fully recover from their injuries. So he will not be able to play in the current Test series. “Fast bowler Mohammad Shami and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are yet to fully recover from their shoulder and knee injuries. BCCI said that these two are out of the Test series.
Instead of these two, Navdeep Saini and Saurabh Kumar have joined the team, along with Jaydev Unadkat also got a place in the team.
