A 3-match ODI series will be played between the two countries from July 27. Ajit Agarkar along with Team India captain Rohit Sharma and Coach Rahul Dravid will shortlist 20 players for the World Cup.

It includes injured players from Jasprit Bumrah to KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. After the last World Cup, 9 players got a chance to play in a single ODI. It includes Rituraj Gaikwad, Rahul Chahar, Shivam Dubey, Krishnappa Gautam, Nitish Rana, Ravi Bishnoi, Chetan Sakaria, Kuldeep Sen and Jayand Yadav. Virat Kohli has played maximum 38 ODIs for Team India in last 4 years.

He has scored 1612 runs with the help of 5 centuries and 11 fifties. An unbeaten 166 was the best performance. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan is second after playing 37 ODIs, but now he is out of the team. During this period, Dhawan scored 1313 runs at an average of 41, Scored 12 fifties. 98 runs was the best performance.

In the last 4 years, as a bowler, Kuldeep Yadav has played a maximum of 30 ODIs. Meanwhile, all-rounder Shardul Thakur has also got a chance in 30 matches. These teams earned their spots through their performance in the 2020-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
