CSK former captain Ravindra Jadeja will join RCB for IPL 2023

Once the T20 World Cup in Australia is over, the focus would shift to IPL 2023 as the trading window is likely to open in the month of November. As per a report on InsideSport, the organisers are looking for a window during the November as the auctions have to be held after that. The auctions are likely to take place in December-January or in February. In recent development some reports says that Chennai Super Kings CSK former captain Ravindra Jadeja will join RCB for IPL 2023.

Now the big discussion begins regarding top all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will play which team in IPL 2023. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been one team that have always had superstars in the lineup, whose presence have lifted the group and taken them to the latter stages of the tournament. However, they have always struggled with depth and balance, and have lacked a proper all-rounder in the middle.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) former captain and India top all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja could be a perfect fit in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lineup given that Jadeja, not only can contribute as a frontline spinner, but also has been one of the best finishers with the bat, in recent times. Also, considering the fact that RCB have never won an IPL, having a former winner in the camp could be a lucky charm.

In order to buy Jadeja, RCB might have to let go of players such as David Willey or Shahbaz Ahmed. Willey, who was a big signing in the previous auction, went on to play only four games. Shahbaz, on the other hand, was a regular starter in the team but has a similar role as Jadeja. Hence, Shahbaz might make way for a big signing.

With the report that there is no contact between Ravindra Jadeja and CSK, it is likely that he would be the biggest attraction. It is almost certain that Jadeja is parting ways with the Chennai franchise. It is no surprise that Jadeja, who is considered to be the world’s greatest all-rounder as a permanent player of the Indian team, will be bid for the highest amount if he comes to the auction. It is said that RCB fans are already requesting the team management on social media to bring Jadeja to the team.
