A big shock has come to the defending champion India in the Asia Cup tournament. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury. Left-arm spin all-rounder Axar Patel has been included in the final 15 squad in place of Ravindra Jadeja. Earlier, Axar Patel was in India’s stand-by list for the Asia Cup tournament. All-rounder Ravindra played a vital role in India’s victory in the first league match against Pakistan. Jadeja, who was in the crease at number 4, not only scored 35 runs in 29 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes, but also added valuable 52 runs for the 5th wicket with Hardik Pandya and was the reason for the team’s victory. But Ravindra Jadeja is out of the entire tournament due to injury problem even before the start of Super-4 stage matches. Bad news for Team India: Ravindra Jadeja out of Asia Cup 2022.
In the match to be held on September 6, India’s opponent is Afghanistan, the top of Group ‘B’. India will face Sri Lanka in the match on September 8. The top two teams in the Super-4 stage will enter the finals. The final match will be held on September 11.
