Asia Cup 2023: Team India top Player out from final India vs Sri Lanka

Before the Asia Cup 2023 final, the Indian team had to face a defeat against Bangladesh. Despite a target of 266 runs in this match, the Rohit Sharma-led team India could only score 259 runs in 49.5 overs from 10 players, and not a single player performed as expected in this match.

Bangladesh defeated Team India by 6 runs in the last Super-4 match of Asia Cup-2023 at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Friday. A team full of strong players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill could not reach the target of 266 runs.

Shubman Gill was the only one who batted brilliantly and scored a century. Facing 133 balls, he scored 121 runs with the help of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Even captain Rohat Sharma could not open his account in this match. In the second ball of the innings, Anamul Haq’s delivery was caught by Tanzeem Hassan Saqib and got out.

After this, debutant Tilak Verma also failed to make an impact and returned to the pavilion scoring only 5 runs. Then all eyes were on Ishan Kishan who came at number 5. But he also surrendered the wicket to Mehdi Hasan Miraj in a personal score of just 5 runs. It took Kishan 15 balls to score just 5 runs.

Now Team India has to make great preparations for the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka. So is there a place for Ishan Kishan in the playing-11? Or will Shreyas Iyer return? All these questions are arising. Shreyas Iyer is not fully fit. In Iyer’s absence, KL Rahul is playing at number 4 and Ishan Kishan at number 5. If Iyer returns, he will play at number 4. Then Rahul will have to come to number-5. In this case, Ishan Kishan will have to leave the team.
