Markram, de Kock, Rabada and other 7 players not Available in IPL 2023

The countdown to the start of the 16th edition of IPL has begun. Also the schedule, date and venue of the matches of this million dollar tournament have also been announced. But before the start of the tournament, the major 6 teams of the league faced difficulties. Aiden Markram, Quinton de Kock, Kagiso Rabada and 7 other players not Available in IPL 2023.

In fact, the South African players playing in the 6 teams of the IPL will be unavailable for the first 5 matches of the tournament. The reason for this is that to qualify directly for the 2023 ODI World Cup, the African team needs to win the ODI series against the Netherlands. Only a win in this series will give the African team direct qualification for the ODI World Cup.

If they lose, they will have to play qualifying rounds. Thus the African players will remain out of the opening matches of the IPL for the ODI series against the Netherlands. According to reports, the South African Cricket Board has informed the BCCI that the South African players who will be playing in the IPL will play an ODI series against the Netherlands starting in late March before coming to India for the IPL.

Thus the unavailability of African players will hit the top 6 teams, here are the details of those 6 teams and who are the players.
