Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Ahmedabad airport to meet his mother Heeraben Modi, who was admitted to a hospital in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Wednesday. Heeraben’s condition is stable, the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre said in a statement. PM Narendra Modi arrives at Ahmedabad to meet hospitalised mother.
The hospital released an official statement on the PM’s mother’s health status and said that her condition is stable. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the state health minister have reached the hospital.PM Modi had earlier met her at her residence in Gandhinagar after he campaigned for the Gujarat Assembly elections. He had visited her to seek her blessings before the polling days.
Security around the hospital was beefed up ahead of PM Modi’s visit to meet his ailing mother. The news of Heeraben Modi’s hospitalisation comes a day after PM Modi’s younger brother, Prahlad Modi met with a car accident in Karnataka’s Mysuru. Visuals of the road accident showed some damage to the car with the front right wheel missing, and the vehicle being moved away by a bulldozer.
