Karnataka CM Oath Ceremony Live Updates: Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Saturday took oath as Karnataka Chief Minister at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru today, Saturday, May 20. DK Shivakumar has also sworn in as Karnataka’s deputy CM today.

Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar on Friday met senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi to discuss all possible names to be inducted into the cabinet and formally invite the Congress high command for the swearing-in ceremony on Saturday.

The visit came a day after the meeting of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) on Thursday formally elected Siddaramaiah as its leader, after which he went to the Governor’s office which invited him to form the next government of Karnataka.
