Karnataka Budget Session start from Tomorrow: Imposed Curfew

The Karnataka Budget Session will start from tomorrow. The Governor will address the joint session on the first day. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present a record 14th budget on July 7. The session will discuss many issues including the cancellation of the controversial amendment acts by the BJP, the counter-argument on the implementation of 5 guarantee schemes.

The BJP is likely to oppose the Congress government’s decision to repeal the controversial amendment acts. The session will be held for 10 days and question and answer session is scheduled for 8 days. In the backdrop of the budget session, city police commissioner B. Dayanand ordered imposed a curfew around Vidhana Soudha from July 3 to 14.

A curfew has been enforced in a radius of 2 km around Vidhana Soudha from June 3 to 14. Gathering, procession and meeting of five or more people is prohibited in the place where prohibition is in force. Also the carrying and storage of weapons, sticks, swords, spears, handguns or any explosives, stones, missiles throwing devices or equipment is prohibited.

This is the first session being held after the Congress government came to power in the state. The session will be held from July 3 to 14. Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will address the joint session on July 3 at 12 noon. After that, the event will be held from July 5 to 7. There will be a government holiday on June 8 and 9, and the event will continue from 10 to 14.

In the joint session, the guarantees of the Congress and the proposals of the Government, the programs to be undertaken are read out by the Governor. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will present the budget on July 7. Recently Siddaramaiah himself gave information about this.

After the commencement of the joint session, there will be a discussion on the Governor’s speech for three days, after which the Chief Minister will give his reply. After the presentation of the budget on 7th, the discussion on the budget will be held.
