Karnataka BJP announced office bearers for Legislative Council elections
Karnataka BJP: The Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken important steps as part of its preparations for the upcoming Legislative Council (Quota/Local Bodies Constituency/Teachers-Graduates Constituency) elections. Karnataka BJP announced office bearers for Legislative Council elections.
In connection with the Legislative Council elections, the party has appointed separate in-charge leaders for each constituency or regional division to look after the election work. These appointments have been made for the preparation and strategy of the elections.
The BJP has also announced its list of candidates for the elections to be held in a specific period. Various office bearer committees like campaign committees, strategy committees and coordination committees have been formed to effectively face the elections and appoint the necessary leaders for them.
Amarnath Patil has been appointed as the North-East Teachers’ Constituency Convener and Naveen Gulagannavar as the Co-Convener. Arun Shahapur has been elected as the West Graduate Constituency Convener and Santosh Devareddy as the Co-convener.
Y.A. Narayanaswamy has been given the responsibility of the South-East Graduate Constituency Convener and Chidananda M. Gowda as the Co-convener. Keshava Prasad has been appointed as the Bengaluru Teachers Constituency Convener and S.N. Rajanna as the Co-convener, ordered by State BJP President Vijayendra.
The BJP is in search of a candidate for the South-East Graduate Constituency in the backdrop of the Parishad Graduate & Teachers Constituency elections. The party is looking to field a new candidate as Chidananda Gowda has already said that he will not contest the MLC elections.
The BJP has already made preparations for the selection of candidates, and a meeting has already been held under the leadership of R. Ashok in 2 constituencies. It has been decided to give a ticket to sitting MLC Shashiel Namoshi for the second time in the West Graduate constituency, and there is a possibility of a ticket for sitting MLC S.V. Sankanur in the North East Teachers constituency.
However, the BJP is planning to field a new candidate in the South East Graduate constituency. There have been rumors that the Bangalore Teachers constituency may be given to JDS.
The Karnataka BJP is gearing up for the Legislative Council elections, and as part of that, it is organizing the election work by appointing office bearers and in-charges at various levels. These appointments will help the party to efficiently carry out its work and campaign in the respective constituencies.
