The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, July 29, 2023, rejigged its national team of office-bearers and C.T. Ravi, who was national general secretary of the party, has been dropped. With this, the sole representative from Karnataka is B.L. Santhosh, who holds the powerful post of national general secretary (Organisation).

Speaking to reporters in Bangalore today (July 30), CT Ravi said, “I am not an aspirant for the post of BJP state president. Party state president is a responsible position. He clarified that it is not like asking for a post, the party will decide on this.

Reacting to this development, Mr. Ravi tweeted, “From booth president to national general secretary, my journey in the BJP has been very educative and transformative in many ways.” He said he would continue to work for the party with “utmost dedication” in any position.

CT Ravi, a well-known face was also the in-charge of the South India BJP. He contested the Karnataka state assembly election and was defeated. In this situation, it is said that he is going to be appointed as Karnataka State BJP President and for this he was removed from the post of BJP General Secretary.

The news is spreading that the post of state president has been fixed for CT Ravi and the official announcement from the high command is pending. But, now City Ravi’s statement is surprising. It is possible that the High Command has made a statement that they should not claim it themselves before making the announcement.
