Weather Report: IMD issues heavy rain alert in 8 states for next 5 days

Weather Report: The strong winds that have been blowing in India for the past two days are now slowing down. The weather situation seems to be changing again. Although snowfall continues in the mountains, rain is also being seen now. In the plains, a heat wave is being seen due to the increase in temperature in the first week of March.

However, western disturbances are now set to hit, so there is a possibility of rain in the hilly states. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a warning has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh from March 9 to 13 due to the possibility of rain.

Talking about the weather report in the last 24 hours, Arunachal Pradesh has received light rain. Also, rainfall was recorded in Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe. According to the India Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance will form on March 9.

Due to this, a warning of rain has been issued for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh between March 9-13. Rain is likely in Uttarakhand on March 10-13 and in Punjab on March 12 and 13. A warning of storm and rain was issued for Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim on March 7 and 8, and for Nagaland on March 7.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala on March 10 and 11 and in the southern interior on March 11. At the same time, the maximum temperature is likely to increase by two to four degrees Celsius in northwest India and central India in the next three to four days.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Bihar, Sikkim, Assam and surrounding areas. The weather will be clear in UP, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh till March 12. The IMD has predicted that there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in many parts of Bihar on March 8.

Also, heavy rains accompanied by lightning and thunder are likely in Sikkim till March 8. Snowfall and lightning may be seen in many parts of Himachal Pradesh.
